Walcot Group Welcomes Execution of Production Sharing Contract for Block KON 13 in Angola
Walcot Group is pleased to announce the successful execution of the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for Block KON 13 in Angola, marking an important milestone in the company’s continued expansion across Africa’s energy sector.
The PSC has been signed between the Angolan National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) and the contractor consortium led by Oando PLC. Walcot Limited holds a 10% participating interest in the block, alongside Oando Exploration and Production Angola Ltd (45%, operator), Effimax Energy – Serviços, Lda (30%), and Sonangol Exploração & Produção (15%).
Block KON 13 is located in the prospective onshore Kwanza Basin and represents a compelling exploration opportunity. Previous drilling activity has identified oil shows, reinforcing the block’s potential and underpinning the consortium’s confidence in advancing exploration efforts.
